Captain Troy Vile

Captain Troy’s journey on the water began in the Virgin Islands in 2019, working as a marine technician and quickly developing a passion for life on the water. From there, he joined the crew of sailing catamarans throughout the Caribbean, eventually working his way into the captain’s role. Over the next several years, Troy ran term charters and private yachts, with his career taking him to destinations around the world.

Despite the miles traveled, the Virgin Islands always felt like home. In December 2024, Troy began captaining day charters, giving him the opportunity to share the islands he knows and loves with his guests. In August 2026, he purchased Castaway to create a charter experience that reflects what he loves most about the Virgin Islands; beautiful places, unforgettable days on the water, and the opportunity to share it all with the people who step aboard.
